Apples and Art

My sister in law called me last night.  She said they are living in renovation chaos right now.  Their kitchen is in the living room, they don't have a stove, and drywall dust covers everything. 

My brother is Art - though I don't think I have EVER called him that.  His name is Tweet in our world.  Well, he didn't want to talk to us last night - guess he had better things to do, like watch the microwave maybe? 

So, here's my payback.  Tweet REALLY likes apple pie.  We have an apple tree and a stove that works.  Today I got some of the fresh, no pesticide apples.  These are as fresh as you get, although not polished:

I peeled them, mixed up some flour, sugar etc. and removed my crust from the box.  Here's what came out of the oven:

Dessert was hot apple pie and french vanilla ice cream:

It was really really yummy.  I hope you guys living in renovation chaos get a kitchen back soon so you can start eating some good home cooking.
